i love, i love, i love this wedding. for a lot of reasons, the most obvious being it was in costa rica. have wedding, will travel!
emma and andrey's story is made of the stuff you hope for. emma moved from MN to costa rica to teach english. she met andrey. they fell in love. cultures collided. and a beautiful new family was created on this day. their love is sweet and full of life. i hope you enjoy these moments from their day as much as i enjoyed being there to take them. pura vida!
big thanks & love to my brilliant husband for traveling to costa and photographing this wedding with me. you can find some of his incredible design work here: http://culturecannibaldesign.vsco.co/

a tiny little dream of mine was fulfilled this day- shooting a wedding at the semple mansion in st. paul, mn. the place exudes elegance. everything is ornate and antiques are tucked into every corner. it may have been zero degrees outside, but inside was a wonderfully charming and elegant celebration. every happiness to you two!

two things i love: a good roadtrip and photographing friends' weddings.
my 2014 season began by traversing january roads to a city that will forever hold my heart (appleton, wi) with a backseat full of camera gear and my wisconsin-born-and-bred-fiancée in the driver's seat. it made for a lovely prelude to lauren and patrick's day.
these two are an exceptionally well matched (and hilarious!) pair, with a love story that dates back to their high school years. "lo and patsy's" cherished italian and irish heritages paired with their love for the green bay packers made for a day rich in story. their wedding was effortlessly beautiful, only mildly chilly, and complete with bagpipes at the ceremony. please forgive me in advance for the hundreds of photos of their remarkably precious grandparents featured all over the full post of their wedding. i couldn't help myself! observing family dynamics is one of my most favorite things about photographing weddings, and after spending a day with these two it became so clear just how deeply they love.
a great big thank you to my friend rachael for roadtripping out to wisconsin and shooting with me!
